Cost difference between Vertical Lift Module and Vertical Carousel Module
26/12/2024

Firstly, in terms of procurement costs, the price of Vertical Carousel Modules is usually lower than that of Vertical Lift Modules. This is mainly because the mechanical components and structure of the Vertical Carousel Module are relatively simple, consisting of a series of shelves or silos connected to a chain drive device, similar to the movement of a Ferris wheel. The Vertical Lift Module, on the other hand, has a more complex design and operates similarly to a vending machine, enabling vertical movement of goods up and down, resulting in relatively higher manufacturing costs.

Secondly, in terms of installation cost, the Vertical Carousel Module also has certain advantages. Due to its simple structure and fewer mechanical components, the installation process is relatively simple, time-consuming, and labor-intensive. The Vertical Lift Module may require more extensive preparation and renovation work, such as reinforcing existing structures and relocating public facilities, resulting in higher installation costs.

However, in the long run, the Vertical Lift Module exhibits higher advantages in operational efficiency and space utilization, which helps to save warehouse costs. The Vertical Lift Module stores and retrieves goods by moving up and down vertically, enabling higher storage density in a smaller space. At the same time, its access speed is also fast, especially suitable for scenarios that require frequent access to goods. These features enable the Vertical Lift Module to bring higher economic benefits in long-term operation.

In terms of maintenance and operational costs, the Vertical Lift Module also has certain advantages. Due to the use of advanced energy recovery systems, energy-saving motors, and intelligent control systems, the maintenance cost of Vertical Lift Modules is usually low. These technologies not only reduce energy consumption, but also minimize the wear of mechanical components, thereby reducing maintenance frequency and costs. In contrast, Vertical Carousel Modules, especially older models, may require more frequent maintenance.

There is a certain cost difference between Vertical Carousel Module and Vertical Lift Module. Although the Vertical Carousel Module has certain advantages in procurement and installation costs, in the long run, the Vertical Lift Module exhibits higher advantages in operational efficiency, space utilization, and maintenance costs, making it more cost-effective.
